Alberta Senior Dies Due to Scalding

Posted on Tue, December 13, 2011 at 9:43 pm

An Albera senior who was under provincial care died a month after being scalded due to overly hot bath water.  Assessing water tempertures in all senior homes, whether it be a private home, retirement home, nursing home, or home of a senior living in the community, should be done on a regular basis.  Anti-scald devices should be installed on all faucets, and the hot water tank should be adjusted so the temperature does not exceed 120 F.
