Cottonwoods is an old institutional feeling facility. Patients are four to a room and share one bathroom. The food is prepackaged and shipped in from Vernon. The place should be torn down, but the staff are very professional and caring. If it weren't for the staff this place would be a disaster.

Though the staff try very hard the facility itself is old and the rooms are mostly on a shared basis. Private rooms are hard to get. The food is poor and brought in from the outside. It should be totally renovated, but due to its connection to the hospital it gets away with these ward type rooms. The problem is most residents are long term, but have no sense of privacy or place to put personal items.
