Helen Henderson Care has been fully owned and operated by the Gibson Family for more then 40 years. The Gibson Family is currently celebrating their third generation coming into the business. With family being so important to the Gibson’s, they make sure that everyone at Helen Henderson Care Centre, including residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors, feel comfortable and welcome as they would in their own homes. Furnished from the late Kingsley and Joyce Gibson’s home, Helen Henderson is full of beautiful antiques and home-like features. Getting around is extremely convenient as the home is all one level surrounded by fully paved walkways and beautiful flower gardens and courtyards. Helen Henderson Care Centre is a dual home, consisting of 104 residents in the nursing home and 70 residents in the retirement home. We offer 24 hour nursing care as well as regular visits from the homes physician. Located in the small town of Amherstview, the community is very supportive and involved with Helen Henderson Care Centre on a regular basis. This is reflected through our tremendous number of volunteers that offer their time and love to all of our residents on a regular basis through activities and spiritual care.
