Description
Highbourne is located close to the 427 and bus routes for easy access. There is a library and loblaws store within walking distance. There are a number of lounges through out the facility to spend time with family. A Family room is available for birthday parties. Larger rooms can be booked by families to host private family parties. We have a lovely courtyard where residents enjoy walking in the fresh air. We have dining on all units. A large auditorium is available for Church services as well as for entertainers to provide music and dancing. The food is excellent and the staff are warm and friendly.

In my experience, this facility treats patients like they are nuisances. As a family member, I find it very difficult to get information on treatment, medications etc. Some of the nurses are excellent, but I find the doctor we deal with to be very condescending. We are on a waiting list at another facility and will move him asap.

There were 3 bags of diapers which reeked. I was gagging as I walked down the hall. The place looked like an institution-more like a hospital. Overall the place was very depressing. I would never send a love one there!
