On July 22nd, 2011 at 7:51PM D. Magarelli posted the following:
Strengths: -Program services department very professional and offer a wide variety of activities for residents. -Physiotherapy also very professional, dedicated and helpful -Food services: great variety of meals and friendly, professional staff -Clean and odours are kept to a very low minimum. Weaknesses: -Some personal support workers have not been trained in how to communicate with clients. Some are very defensive and never apologize for their error. Fail to see "how would I feel if I were the client?" Examples: don't change diapers in a humane and timely fashion; eat in work areas, rather than staff room; constant gossiping during company time; etc. -Management staff rarely are on the floor, doing spot checks and inspecting what they expect from their staff. The management staff are in their offices all day and therefore do not have an accurate pulse on what is really going on in their facility. This is what leads to their directs to do as they please. No control exists because no daily observations made. In short, I would not recommend this nursing home to anyone. It is unfortunate for those that work there that are professional and dedicated.....but the ""bad"" in this home outweighs the ""good"".
