Patients are neglected to the point of abuse, falling way short of the seniors rights bill enacted in 2008. They are left in the hallway with no activity, starring at walls and sleeping in their wheelchairs. Their right to privacy completly stripped, patients are treated in the hallway in the path of visitors. The food is terrible, the building is old and not maintained with dirt behind doors and around sinks. The only clean room was the social workers office! The staff seems burned out and uptite. The garden area is full of weeds, etc. etc. etc. This place is nothing short of a death holding warehouse for seniors. Any sane person on visiting Mt Tolmie has to conclude that it is a place that contributes to the demize of the elderly. It is obvious! This place has to be shut down!
