my mother was a resident of Queens Garden for approx 23 months until her passing. She was a kind, easy to care for, optimistic, respectful of others, sort of person. She was treated with courtesy, respect, and kindness by the staff. The food wasn't terrific, but she realized that there were many palates to accomodate, and she was able to get out with friends and family to supplement her diet at the home. I would say the only downside of the experience at this home was the tx by the physician - it was not timely and seldom what one would have hoped for. Luckily, her daughter was her advocate. When she came back to the home from the hospital after being dx with pancreatic cancer, the care could not have been better, The staff in her "neighbourhood" cared not only for her but for her family. All in all, our "relationship" with Queens Garden was very good.
