The staff & management do not go out of their way for resident or visitors. If anything is wrong they will blame each other. They do not follow direction or suggestion from resident, family or the last facility resident was transferred from. Everything is done based on making it easy for the staff. My mother was a 2 person transfer - it was clearly stated on the transfer papers. She was only there for 2 days when she was assisted to the washroom with 1 nurse, dropped and broker her pelvis. She is forced to wear open back clothes that she hates, just because it is easy for the nurse to dress her. she is transferred with a lift (can no longer walk after the fall) She is able to move all joints well enough to wear her normal clothes. My husband and I travel 5 hours every other week-end to spend the wk-end with my parents. Dad lives next door to the Nursing Home in a retirement home. He visits Mom daily. We are never able to have a meal together unless we bring it. the rule is only 2 visitors allowed for a meal and that rule will not be bent. Not once in 2 years have we so much as been offered a cup of coffee. The facility itself has not been updated since the 70s. I would not suggest this facility for anyone. My Mom is there so my Dad can be with her daily, otherwise I would have her moved ASAP
