The Village of Sandalwood did not provide the quality of life and care service that our mom and other residents of Elliot Place are deserving of. Staff failed on all levels in providing a caring, positive and nurturing environment. On several occasions management advised that they were aware of staff issues and that they were working on resolving matters in order to better the level and quality of care service. During an eight month period there was no change or improvement with the staff. The lack of positive, nurturing interaction between staff and the residents did not improve and no obvious meaures to improve matters were ever visible. Our family would not recommend the Village of Sandalwood.

In visiting other homes I found many out there institutional. Not the case at Sandalwood village. I had to visit one in Bolton, and found the staff great, place clean, but it looked so much like a hospital. Not the place i would want my father in. I have been more than pleased with this home. The staff on all shifts are nothing but exceptional! I don't understand how one could say nothing less about them. I am there two times a day, and phone mornings-evenings, to make sure my father is good. The staff alway's make me feel at ease about phoning. If my father is having a rough day-evening with his disease, I can stay as long as I need to. This helps him, as well as the family members. I am so happy that my father is in good hands as the stress of his condition, and having to put him in a home has been alleviated by having such wonderful, gifted people help us.
